I'm 16 And I Bleed Every Time I Have Sex. Is This Normal?

E-mail question: I am only 16 and I just lost my virginity. I've now had sex a few times.

I know that some girls bleed a little the first time they have sex, but I seem to bleed every time. It scares me, and I haven't gone to a doctor because I don't want my mom to ask a lot of questions.

Is this bleeding normal?

From a medical point of view, you should not be bleeding every time. So you should see a doctor to find out why you are.

It sounds like sex is causing you a lot of worry and not very much fun, so why don't you consider putting it off for awhile?
