Staph aureus food poisoning

Symptoms
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting for up to 24 hours
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Severe abdominal cramps
  • Abdominal distention
  • Mild fever

Signs and tests

A stool culture (if performed) is positive for Staph aureus.
