Symptoms
  • Abdominal pain
  • Back pain
  • Frequent uterine contractions
  • Uterine contractions with no relaxation in between
  • Vaginal bleeding

Signs and tests

Tests may include:

  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Complete blood count
  • Fetal monitoring
  • Fibrinogen level
  • Partial thromboplastin time
  • Pelvic exam
  • Prothrombin time
  • Vaginal ultrasound
