Symptoms
- Hearing loss
- Usually partial and involving high-pitched sounds
- May slowly get worse
- Noises, ringing in the ear (
tinnitus )
Signs and tests
The health care provider will usually suspect acoustic trauma if hearing loss occurs after noise exposure.
