Tubercle

Definition

A tubercle is a small rounded point of a bone. It also refers to a nodule attached to bone, mucous membrane, or skin.

The term "tubercle" is less commonly used to refer to skin irritation resulting from Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) infection.
