Nicotine

Definition:

Nicotine poisoning results from an overdose of nicotine. Acute nicotine poisoning usually occurs in young children who accidentally chew on nicotine gum or patches.

  • Cigarettes
  • Chewing tobacco
  • Pipe tobacco
  • Nicotine gum (Nicorette)
  • Nicotine patches (Habitrol, Nicoderm)
