Risks

Risks for any anesthesia are:

  • Allergic reactions to medicines
  • Breathing problems

Risks for any surgery are:

  • Bleeding
  • Blood clot
  • Infection

Other risks for hypospadias:

  • A hole that leaks urine (fistula)
  • Large blood clot (hematoma)
  • Scarring or narrowing of the repaired urethra
