Normal Values
A staining score of 20 to 100 (out of a maximum of 400) is considered normal.
Note: Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of your specific test results.
What abnormal results mean
Higher-than-normal results may be due to:
- Essential thrombocytosis
Leukemoid reaction Myelofibrosis Polycythemia vera
Lower-than-normal results may be due to:
Aplastic anemia - Chronic myeloid leukemia
Pernicious anemia
