Normal Values
Normally, there should be little or no fluid in the the abdominal space.
What abnormal results mean
An examination of abdominal fluid may show:
Cirrhosis of the liver - Damaged bowel
Heart disease - Infection
Kidney disease - Pancreatic disease

Tumor (cancerous or noncancerous)
