Risks
The risks from any anesthesia are:
- Allergic reactions to medications
- Problems breathing
The risks for any surgery are:
- Bleeding
- Infection
- Nerve damage
Other risks include:
- Stiffness of the knee
- Failure of the surgery to relieve symptoms
- Failure of the meniscus to heal
- Tear of the new meniscus
- Disease from the transplanted meniscus
- Pain in the knee
- Weakness of the knee
