These are Cryptococcus skin lesions. Cryptococcus is a yeast (type
of fungus) that seldom causes infection, but is considered
opportunistic (it affects people with weakened immune systems).
Cryptococcus is one of the more common life-threatening fungal
infections in AIDS patients.
