This condition of fungal granuloma has produced a large, red
(erythematous) patch (plaque) with a prominent border, within which
are scattered blisters (pustules) indicating deeper involvement of
hair follicles (Majocchi's granuloma). This infection was caused by
Trichophyton rubrum.
