    Prevention

    The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism recommends:

    • Women should not drink more than 1 drink per day
    • Men should not drink more than 2 drinks per day

    One drink is defined as 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1½ ounces of liquor.
