    Hello.

You are wise to consider all your options. I can truly appreciate your concerns and trepidation regarding a potential implant because I too shared some of your same reservations.  In retrospect, I guess my fears were a little too vast because, the reality of spending the rest of my life totally impotent was a bigger fear than perhaps the minimal loss in length or girth.

To be honest I to was about 6"+ before my disease caused the ED and now I am closer to

5-1/2" in length.  With the AMS implant girth is the same and the 2 tubes retain a certain quantity of fluid even when the implant is deflated, so my glans appears full and natural even when flaccid.

Look, it is natural to have apprehension about a procedure that will alter your perception and somewhat the appearance of your male autonomy.  But the results for me were remarkable both mentally and physically and "yes" I truly felt like a new man or I should say, "a whole complete man!"  A man who once again could share the pleasure of true intimacy and be much happier, fulfilled and supportive for my wife and family.

The loss of a 1/2" in length is a very small price for the quality of life I have regained!!! Hopefully you will also be able to share in a better quality of life too; good luck and please let me know how things go for you.  Take care my friend...

hello friend.i'm contacting again to wish you a merry christmas & a happy new year& to let you know that i had my implant 12/4/08. everything is good, healing properly.but i found a little knot on the left side of the bottom of my penis, beeing afraid of perforation in the future,i asked my surgeon about it in my post op one week after surgery.he said this normal like when you bend a hose youget knots on the side, but my right side is very smooth.did you notice any bump after your surgery on your sides of your penis.do you this going to dissappear after starting inflation the device?i believe the surgeon used longer rear tip extender or it's the hose that is going to the reservoir.even yhough my dr assure me of no perforation will happen but i'm still nervous .please if you or any friend has that situation please let me know. thank you very much hoping this new year will be a whole joy& happiness for you &you family.

Congrats on the implant amd it should lead to a Happy New Year in alot of ways!  Re: the knot you mention, I too noticed the tube at the base of my penis but more on the right side.  It doesn't feel like a knot but when flacid it it more noticable.  When my penis is inflated I do not notice the tubes and they do not get in the way or create a problem with intamacy.  It has been 16 months since my implant and no noticable challenges.

Re: post op pain?  The only discomfort I experienced was the itch when the hair was growing back.  No pain even in the immediate days following the surgery, but if pain is a problem contact your doctor to get medication for needed relief.

Continued best wishes with your "new toy".  Dub

hi dub this is eddys123 thanking you for answering my e mail.

i saw my dr after 5 weeks he gave the ok for everything no restrictions what so ever.when i got home & iflating my device i was very dissapointed.what i was afraid of happened.i mesured 4" only.they really alter my perception & the appearance of my male anatomy.

my simple & only question is .since the lgx implant has 18 to 20% elongation, do you think by inflating it twice a day & using it also  will increase the size eventually & after 6 months let's say.did you feel any growth since you had the surgery 16 month ago.i'll be waiting for your honest answer so i can go on with life either way.if you know any way to do so or someone in the same boat talked to you about any way to exercise it ,please let me know even though i know you're busy with your life & family.

    your friend eddys. best wishes

So sorry to hear your initial excitement has turned into some disappointment and that the implant has not lived up to your preliminary expectations.  This whole penile implant has required some adjustment in my thinking and the whole love-making experience; but over time my wife and I feel comfortable with the new challenges.

Certainly "things" are not the same as they were when I was younger, but we as a couple have regained a level of intimacy that was missing prior to the implant.  As I mentioned before, I also noted some lose in length, about a 1/2" to ¾"initially, but feel I have over-come the limitations.  Remember your penis has endured some trauma and it may take longer to truly heal beyond the past 5 weeks and things may again feel normal.

Initially, I inflated the implant 2-3 times daily since I too felt it would aid in stretching the organ and regaining some of the elasticity that seemed lost when I was diagnosed with ED.  Usually at least daily, I would inflate to the level that it caused some throbbing discomfort where the tubes stopped in the glans area. I believed this would help restore size and dimension.  Was I wrong, I don't know?  But the action seemed to make maximum erections more comfortable and so we could enjoy the most pleasure of love-making without having to stop to adjust the strength of the erection.  Currently at night I sleep, all night, with a fairly firm erection and maintain some size during the day.

At this time I feel I regained some of my original size and I believe that I either regained or still possessed some ability to engorge naturally.  When totally engaged in a sexual situation my glans (head) enlarges with blood allowing some size & length increase and a fuller firmness.  Was this regained from practice and using the implant?  Again I don't know, but as I healed and got more comfortable with "things" everything started feeling more normal.

Currently I am about 4" to 4-1/2", semi-flaccid, and with a firm hard erection I am at 5-3/4" to 6" which is currently okay.  Yeah sure I would like to be longer but this is a length I can live with.  Hopefully for you too, "things" will also improve with time.  But keep your doctor informed of your concerns and hopefully he can assist you to improve your erections.

Best wishes and I hope you can enjoy the maximum satisfaction and contentment with your new circumstances and the implant... Dub  Laughing

    dear friend dub.

thank you indeed for helping me & helping  our community of people having these kind of issues.i was wondering if i'm wasting time or not exercising my organ.even though i'm going to keep exercising ,but i still have a question might help me a lot. after 5 weeks of  your surgery did you mesure yours.if you did & was 3 & now you have 5" inches for example then i'm going to the right track.but if you remember yours was 4  inches after 5 weeks of surgery & now 5+, that mean i'll keep having 4 inches after inflating  but without pain .

even though i'm going to keep exercising it but yor answer is very crucial to me. so i'll realize that this is a fact of life & ill live w/it

best regards for you & your family.

Sorry to be so long in sending a reply but I had to think more about your question.  Yes, as I mentioned, I too was aware of the diminished size of my penis following the implant but I have not been overly bothered.  Actually just the shear ability to attain an erection after 5 years of none was fullfilling in itself. As I originally stated " I felt like a man again" and regained some confidence in my ability to share true intamacy again!

Size was not a concern and I am sorry it so greatly distresses you.  You know, my reality comes down to the differences of never being able to acheive an erection (before) to my new found ability (now) of being able to obtain an erection as the profound differences of "night & day".  I guess I feel the glass is now 1/2 full rather than 1/2 empty and rejoice in the improved quality of my sex life.

Yeah sure, it would be great to be the way I was at 25, but at age 55 I still feel fortunate to have the health and vitality to enjoy living life as completely as I do.

If you continue to have doubts and concerns, please consult your doctors; there  should be no reason to feel resigned to just accepting things as they are if there is some opportunity for improvement!  Maybe excercising helps, maybe not, but it if helps you to regain confidence then I would have to say "it is working".  Peace to you... Dub

    Hi eddys123

Have you gained any length back since your last post. I have read that the LGX can increase length up to 18 percent. I to am probually going to have to have a implant in the near future due to a venous leak. Im only 25 and have been dealing with this problem since I was 20. Well take care.
