penil implant surgery

I had a penile implant in 2001.  I had the two piece device implanted and have been satisfied with the device.  I have not had any problems with the device and it has worked great.  I can not ride a bicycle or a horse since this causes discomfort .  I can hike for about 6 miles before discomfort is evident.  You should take an antibotic before dental procedures or surgery to keep down infection.

Sexual sensations are still good.  The need for the implant was from prostate surgery which left me impotent and loss of bladder control.  I also had a sphincter put in at the same time as the penile implant.

Hi ginsinghunter

I have been having problems with ed for about 5 years now  and I am now considering of getting a penile implant. From what my urologist has diagnosed me with he calls a venous leak I have tried every thing from pde-5 to shots and nothing works, and the strange thing about it is im only 25. If you could can you answer some of my questions I have about penile implants.

Do you lose alot of length with your implant?

Is sex with the implant great, before you had ed.

You mention activities cause discomfort does say running or bending or lifting weights cause discomfort?

Do women like sex with implant , like the urological partner satisfaction rates say there high.

Thanks again Chris

Hi Anonymoys

I have been having ed for about 5 years and now am considering a implant. My doctor tells me I have venous leakage and pills and shots do not work, which is wierd since im only 25. If you could can you answer some of my questions on penile implants.

Do you lose length when you had your penile implant?

Are you able to have good sex with a penile implant?

You said you cannot ride a horse or bike, but do you have any problems with exercising ir bending down?

I have read the partner satisfaction rate is high with a implant. Is this true.

Does your partner like the implant?

Thanks for answering my questions

Chris

CHRIS....I HAD PROSTATE PROBLEMS AND HAD SURGERY TO REMOVE IT. SO AT THAT  TIME WAS WHEN I BECAME FAMILAR WITH ED. 2.5 YRS WENT BY AND THEN AFTER TRYING SHOTS , THE VACUUM PUMP,WHICH IS A JOKE) . SO TO YOUR QUESTIONS. I HAD THE IMPLANT PUT IN 3 MONTHS AGO  28TH OF THIS  MONTH. AT THIS POINT IN TIME I WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT WAS THE RIGHT WAY TO GO. AS FOR LENGTH, NO IT  IS NOT WHAT IT ONCE WAS. I HAVE BEEN THRU THREE SURGEYS IN THE PAST 3 YRS. GALL BLADDER , PROSTATE CANCER AND NOW THE INPLANT. SO I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT NOTHING IS THE SAME AFTER SURGERY.THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING DIFFERENT FRON THE WAY IT WAS. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE IMPLANT WAS THE LESS PAINFUL OF EM ALL. YOU WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY  BECAUSE OF WHAT YOUR HAVING DONE AND WHERE IT IS. SO YES I DID LOOSE LENGTH, I'D SAY AROUND 3/4" AND AS FOR GIRTH ABOUT THE SAME. YET I LAOST LENGHT FROM THE PROSTATE CANCER. SO IF NOT FOR THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE SAME.AS FOR FEELING THE SAME. AGAIN THE ANSWER IS NO. BUT !  AGAIN IT DOES THE JOB.THE PUMP IS A BIT LARGER THAN I THOUGHT BUT AT THIS POINT IN TIME I HARDLY NOTICE IT BEING THERE.AS FOR DOING WHAT YOU WANT AS FOR ACTIVITIES. I PLAY GOLF , RIDE A BIKE . I HAD THOUGHT AT FIRST IT WOUD BE THE END OF ALOT OF THINGS I DO BUT I AM REALIZING THAT AS TIME GOES ON I  AM FINDING OUT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A THING I CAN NOT DO. OUT OF SPACE TO WRITE MORE.

Actually sex is better with the implant.  The erection stasys firm  until it is deflated.  You can do anything and lifting weights is not a problem.
