Erectile Disfunction - Heres my scenario, somebody please help me!

By roboo Thursday, December 27, 2007

Okay heres the scenario,

I'm currently 16 years of age. After going out with my ex girlfriend for 4 and a half months we finally had sex, but what I didn't know was this was going to ruin my reputation, confidence and self-esteem forever. I lasted under 2 minutes with her. About 5 months later, 3 months after we broke up I heard a rumour going around her school about me. This was easily the most embarrassing thing I've ever had to have gone through, even my mates have givin' me crap in front of others. Since then whenever my mates have said 'hey come out with a girl with me shes bringing a girl' I would make up an excuse because I can't bear whats already happened to occur again - I have totally lost what was once a fair bit of self confidence.

After reading up information about Erectile Disfunction it seems to be either physiological or phychological. I'm very confused as to what I exactly have. My questions are:

a) How do I know if its physiological or physchological?

b) I'm 16, who can I talk to to solve the issue? (I feel very uncomfortable talking to anyone I know personally.)

c) How should my diet be? What liquids should I be drinking/not be drinking and what foods should I been eating/not be eating?

d) How do I boost my sex drive? Foods? Liquods? What shouldn't I been consuming?

Sorry that this has been a big post but I felt I needed to explain exactly how I feel, as alot of you know ED is not a laughing matter.

Thanks in advance,

Robo

Go and see you doctor and tell him the problem and get to see a specialist a Uroligist. Don't keep it to your self it only will get worse. Good Luck

I'm no doctor, but unless this continues, I would say you have nothing to worry about.  When I first became sexually active at age 15, I would get so excited that I have actually ejaculated on my girlfriend's belly before I could get it in.  I was totally embarassed as well but it was only a passing thing.

Hi Robo,

I know that at your age you are probably hearing alot of folks say, "you are young, don't worry about it" and I am going to say the same thing. However, if you really feel something might be affecting your ability to perform, then it might do you some good to do some research so that when you see your doctor, you can ask those important questions. Nothing will take the place of your doctor's care in helping you to manage your health. But, you can (and should) ask lots of questions if there is something happening in your life that worries you.

So here are some links to information that you might find helpful. You have probably already read much of this but it never hurts to read it again.

There is a very good overview of erectile dysfunction located here. What it is, what causes it and what can be done to treat it. This section can give you an idea if the problem you are experiencing is physical or psychological. Here is a great video that can give you information about who might have issues with ED and what some causes are. In the video, the Doctor states that ED can be brought on by anxiety.

I would think that the pressure of performing for the first time with your girl at your age, could have possibly been the issue for you, but only you can tell for sure.

I hope this information helps. Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!
