I am considering a penile implant and would like to discuss this with some people who have already to this. If there are people out there that have had experience with a penile implant and would like to share I would appreciate the conversation.
Sincerely,

Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at 04:34 PMI had a Malleable implant in Dec. 2007. I had it in 2 weeks, developed an infection and had to have it out. Because there was so much infection, they couldn't put a new one in. It took 3 months for the infection to be completely gone and for the wound to heal from it being taken out. I was never told of the complications if you developed an infection, the doctor said the surgery was simple. I had pain so bad I couldn't sleep or walk very well. I lost over 35 pounds, and do not have the energy I had before the surgery. Now since I have scar tissue in the corporal cavities that the implant was put in it is almost impossible to have a surgery again & if I do it would be a much smaller implant because of the scar tissue. When you hasve the implant out, your penis shrinks to half the size it was before the surgery. I would find the BEST Urologist possible to do the surgery, I didn't have a very good one.

Saturday, April 05, 2008 at 07:03 PMI'm also considering having a penile implant. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and may elect to have robotic surgery, if I lise my ability to have an erection. My uroglist does not do robotic surgery, so I will be referred to a specialist in Sacramento CA. My question is how the implants work on different types of penis's? I'm what they call a grower; I go from 1.5 inch to 5.5 inches when erect. Will the implants keep me at an erect soft size until inflated? Will the implants keep me at 1.5 inches until inflated? I have not found any information about my concerns addressed on line. I would like as much knowledge before I make any decisions.

Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 10:48 PMI just had penile implant surgery and to be honest I'm not very satisfied because I have lost the feeling on my penis and I don't enjoy sex like before. I also lost about 2-3 inches in length and is not as thick as before.I really regret having the surgery and I wish I could reverse it and go back to the way it was before.I also developed two streams while urinating. I wish I could find a Dr to correct my problem. It has really depressed me.
