Recently, a question was asked by one reader as to whether a generic form of an erectile dysfunction medication is different than the trademarked version.

All three medications (Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra) at this time are still under patent and cannot be made in the truly "generic" means. If your doctor writes a prescription for Cialis and you receive tadalafil, it is the same product. This may not be true if you are getting your medicines from outside the U.S. or as over-the-counter preparations.
