It's funny how many men lose their erections due to stress, anxiety or insecurity... and this leads to erectile difficulties, which lead to more stress, anxiety and insecurity.
And it can become a vicious cycle... happened to me when I was much younger.

The following quote is from the Cornell University Urology Department:
One of the great myths in sexual medicine is that the presence of a rigid early morning erection indicates psychogenic ED. This is a false concept, as many men with significant arteriogenic ED wake up with good erectile rigidity. The presence of good early morning erections is suggestive only of adequate venocclusive function.
Furthermore, a man who is unable to stimulate himself manually but is able to have nightime erection is likely to have a physical rather than a psychological cause for ED. The notion that nighttime erections can be used to RULE OUT physical causes is based on faulty logic and ignores the multilple enzymes, hormones, and subsystems involved in getting an erection
