My prostate surgery early this year left me 100% impotent, whereas I had been able to get an erection beforehand, considering I'm in my 60s. (I'm also 100% incontinent, but that's another story).
I have had good success using the VED (also known as "the pump"). The upside is that this vacuum device that can produce an excellent erection -- probably better than pre-surgery for me. The downside is that it takes a bit of the spontaneity out of lovemaking. The cost (for the battery-operated model like I have) is just under $200. I consider it a good investment, however.
hi
really now. it works for you. i have a hand model. and it hurt like heck! well i'm glad to hear there is hope out there. gee!! thanks thanks a lot
hmm cvould you give me an idea, just what you have?
I'm using an electric pump model. If you try to get an erection too rapidly, it can be uncomfortable or painful.

hey thank you very much for the reply. hmm i do have a hand pump type. hmm maybe i though it would just do wonders out the box. nope, in fact it hurt like heck removing the thing! with poor results. i'll look at what you were kind, to send to me.
You might want to talk to your urologist regarding why it hurts when removing the pump. It shouldn't, unless you're having some other issue, perhaps related to your surgery (I'm assuming you've had a prostatectomy).
Good luck!
