My doctor has told me that because I have erections during my sleep and when I wake up, there is no physical cause for my erectile dysfunction. How effective is Viagra in a situation where the factors may be more psychological?

When there is no physical cause for ED, the cause is often psychogenic dysfunction.  In that case, Viagra is an extremely effective therapy. Similar success would also occur with Levitra or Cialis.  Many patients find that using the medication for a short period of time will help relieve the psychogenic dysfunction, providing reassurance that unaided sexual function is possible.
