I dont even know if its considered ER

By SugarCube02 Tuesday, March 06, 2007

My boyfriend and I are relatively young. He is 28. He can start an erection. But loses it very quickly. It just goes limp. He says its not me that its just an issue he has and doesnt really like to talk about such things. I thought I might do some research of my own to try and figure out what it is and what might help.

If anyone has advice it would be GREATLY appriciated!!

Hi SugarCube02,
It can often be hard for partners to talk about sexual dysfunction. You can read about the possible physical causes of ED here: http://www.healthcentral.com/erectile-dysfunction/risks-000015_4-145.html and the possible psychological causes here: http://www.healthcentral.com/erectile-dysfunction/risks-000015_3-145.html.

Our expert, Dr. Knowles, wrote a piece about communicating with your partner about erectile dysfunction, which you can read here: http://www.healthcentral.com/erectile-dysfunction/c/54/2228/partner/.

I hope this is helpful.

I'm in the same situation. I don't know what to do and it is fustrating to not find a place to get real anwsers. But how do you not feel that is your fault.  Or it is not something you are or are not doing?
