One of the worst things that can happen to someone is to experience a health issue and not expect it or be prepared for it.  That happened to me recently when I woke up with excruciating abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and serious urgency to pee.  When I crawled to my bathroom I was literally "freaked out" to find that I couldn't urinate...at all.  So in addition to my incredibly increasing anxiety and pain over not knowing what was going on - I was now utterly besides myself with worry over this very sudden and bad health symptom.  Several hours later I got the good news that I was not dying and the bad news that I was passing a kidney stone.  And let me just say - having been thru two pregnancies without any anesthesia - I would rather give birth to a child than a stone!!

Now a new survey reveals that most guys who hit the age of 40 are unaware that ED may come knocking at their door.  The reality is that 40% of men over age 40 experience some
ED.  The most likely cause is aging associated with diseases like elevated total cholesterol (and LDL), diabetes, heart disease and as a side effect of certain medications they begin to take.  Even though occasional ED is normal, it can cause severe anxiety.  So the pharmaceutical company, Lilly UK, decided to create this "40 over 40" campaign to let guys know about this fact of life and to put their mind at ease.  The campaign also wants guys to seek help quickly rather than keep ED a secret and suffer silently, without seeking help from professionals.

The moral of the story and the campaign is to make sure when something goes wrong health-wise, no matter how personal, that you seek help and not suffer unnecessarily.
