    The serotonin link seems to confirm earlier reports that certain anti depressants, which increase serotonin levels, can be effective in preventing premature ejaculation.

    Yeap... it appears that SSRI's, antidepressants such as Zoloft, Paxil, Lexapro, delay ejaculation in the majority of men.

     

    It is best to use the SSRI's in a relatively low dose.  High doses of SSRI's can oftentimes decrease libido and erection quality, as well as damage DNA in sperm that is delivered.

     

    These side effects go away once you stop taking the medication.

     

    So the best way to take advantage of the SSRIs is to take a low dose in combination with some ejaculation control "retraining".
