On avalide, plendil, and lisinipril. Could all these meds or one med be causing ED. Cholesterol level is very near normal (188) with lipitor, exercise and diet. What is REALLY GOING ON.

cfsleo - Medications used to treat high blood pressure can cause erectile problems. The two classes of meds most often associated with these are diuretics and beta-blockers. Avalide has two components, one of which is a diuretic. Plendil and lisinopril are less likely to cause problems. There are several classes of medications used to treat high blood pressure that are less likelyl to cause problems. Talk to your doctor about them and ask that he/she consult with a urologist in the choice of meds for you. Hope this helps.
