Q: SD - I have a short flacid penis

My penis is too short when flacid ( about 2"). In fact, it goes inside my body sometimes. I have had this problem all my adult life. I am 6" erect. I am not overweight. I do have a small problem that might relate to this. I have pubic hair that grows on the shaft of my penis when it is erect. Could I have had too much foreskin removed when I was circumsized as a child and the skin is pulling the penis too tight when flacid? My erections in puberty were uncomfortable, like my penis was trying to stretch. Can I use a procedure to stretch my penis out farther when flacid. I am not looking to get a large erect penis. My wife says I am just right erect but I am uncomfortable flacid.

Hi Scott,

The only permanent solution to lengthen your penis is by surgery. The procedure basically involves cutting the suspensory ligament that holds the penis in place. The length of penis does not increase by a great deal, maybe a quarter of an inch but it does vary a little. The down side is that the ligament has a role in keeping the erect penis pointing upwards so once the ligament is cut, this is lost. There are other post-surgery effects that have been documented, such as the penis appearing to arise from the scrotum, scarring around the site and sloughing of skin that is used to help increase penis length due to poor blood supply. If all this sounds a bit grim it's because it is. I think you would need to think long and hard before taking this step.
