Q: Do men feel more bonded w/a woman who enjoys performing oral sex on him than with just intercourse?

I ask because I as a woman feel performing oral sex is a more personal and a more (giving of pleasure). It's not really something a lot of people will do male and female both. But as we get older (in our 60's), my husband and I find oral sex to be more necessary for both of us in order to achieve him getting hard the second or third round and me for the lubrication as well. It's just a question I've come to wonder about from the man's point of view.

Dee - Just as about everything else about sex, it's a very individual matter. Interests, attitudes, position preferences, and physical experiences regarding a particular act or type of contact vary from person to person. If your partner views oral contact as something very special, for any of a number of reasons, it may very well create a more intimate emotional connection with you. Ask your partner!

Dee, let me tell you something about us, guys: preferences may vary from person to person, but there is no man on earth that doesn't love oral sex. :)

Hi Dee,

First of all, let me congradulate you and your husband for still being in love and active sexually. It's nice to know that it can and does happen. Secondly, I think with regard to bonding and emotions, women are more apt to attach an emotional bond to oral sex than men, simply because men are more experiential and physical and women are more emotional. Just my experience talking. There is a great section here at HealthCentral.com about oral sex. I enjoyed reading through it. Perhaps you will find something interesting as well. You can get to the database here. I especially liked this section called "What's up with going down?"

Take care and stay in touch! Let us know how you are doing.
