How long after stopping toprol would ed continue?

My husband started taking Toprol on June 6, 2008 but experienced problems with gas and stopped after a couple of weeks. About that time, he experienced ed. That has continued to date 7/16/08 and I was wondring if it will get better by itself after more time.

As far as I know Toprol's half life is a couple of days so I think something got "instigated" or something else is going on irrespective of the Toprol use. I'd talk to the doctor about the coincidence or about other possible causes of the ED.
