Injections or other possible methods (chemicals) for helping with E.D. after Radical Prostatectomy

Wondering?
08/03/08

I am considering Injections to help end my E.D. since none of the recent drugs have helped me.  Are injections a relatively painles method?  Is/are there better, more recent methods of helping with having erections other than Viagra, Cialis, etc which don't work for me?

Hello Wondering,

Online sites are great resources for information to be able to ask all the right questions when it's time to see your doctor, but they can not take the place of your doctor's sound medical advice.

There is a great article about all three of the more well known medications for erectile dysfunction. Dr Jay Motola wrote a very good article comparing all three medications, Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. You can read that article here. There is also information here about penile implants. As far as the injections go, there is an article here about Caverject, the side effects, dosage information and drug and other common interactions. There is also an article written by Dr Justin Harmon that explains how penile implants and drugs like Caverject work.

I hope this helps! Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!
