Q: Can masturbating constantly cause erectile dysfunction/impotence?

My reason for addressing this question is because I have a friend that enjoys watching adult films and this gives him the urge to want to masturbate. Will this effect his sexual performance in any way or manner?

It shouldn't unless it becomes the predominant way he expresses his sexuality.  Masturabation as a secondary approach to pleasure is fine but it should not replace traditional interaction with a partner.
