can a 33 year old man have erectile dysfunction. He is a heavy drinker. and in his younger years has smoked marijuana. he just says he can not get an erection any more. and when he does it is once every 6 months or so is this normal for a man his age?

I'm not an expert, but I can assure you that ED can affect men of all age groups.
You also said he's a heavy drinker. Alcohol and drugs are the #1 enemy of a healthy sex life, so this seems to be a good opportunity for him to change his habits. If the problem persists, he should see a doctor.

Yes men start slowing down around their 30's ... Hell it happened to me when I was about 26. But I take Viagra and Cialis now, never knew I had ED now :D
