Cindy - These are common side effects of the ED medications currently available. I am curious about whether he has taken the lowest doses of these medications, e.g. Viagra - 25mgs, Levitra - 2.5mgs. If he hasn't tried the lowest doses then he should ask his doctor to give him samples of those. The next best thing probably depends on the severity of his ED symptoms, his general, and the relevant relationship issues.
