Tina - I can't tell from your details whether your husband was diagnosed with MS 5yrs. ago or started to show signs of ED 5yrs. ago. As a disorder that affects the transmission of nerve signals to and from the brain it is easy to see how ED could potentially become an issue. If you have not reseached the major MS websites for info on sexual functioning you may want to do that since this info will be specifically tailored to people suffering from MS. There are ED treatment approaches other than the PDE5 inhibitors (ie Viagra, Cialis, etc) and they can be explored by you and your husband. If he is willing to try them then the matter can be brought up with his neurologist or primary care physician.
