Q: Drug Induced Impotentcy

normally I have a decently large penis. About 8 1/2 inches and a decent girth. After taking Oxycontin for several years for pain control it suddenly began to effect my erections. I still get them but they are half the size??? really freaks me out and really feels weird. I am wondering if I stop the Oxycontin will everything go back to normal? or is there something I can take to get everything back to normal while on the Oxycontin?? I have tried Viagra and Cialis but they do nothing at all, well except give me a stuffed up nose?? Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear Hardly,

Oxycontin is a narcotic pain reliever, which has some serious side effects.  If you read the side effects it can lower blood pressure, which may result in small erections, due to lower blood flow to the penis.

You may want to see your doctor to have a phyical to make sure your blood pressure is normal and see if you can take a prescription-strength non-narcotic pain reliever with fewer side effects.

Hope that helps.
