I am a type 2 diabetic, I am not using any drug to contrl it, I only keep some what controlled diet, so far I have succeeded to hold it at levels below 130.  Would the cialis be effective in my case? and how often with cialis,  excersing sexual activity ( in your estimation) be safe?.

Hello Yousef,

Being a type 2 diabetic myself, I can tell you that if you are controlling your diabetes with diet only, even though your levels are below 130, you should still be under a doctor's care. Normal ranges have been restated to be between 90 and 100. Diabetes can affect many parts of the body, most importantly the heart, but can also be the reason that you feel you need to take Cialis for erectile dysfunction.

Cialis, brand name for Tadalafil, is generally prescribed for erectile dysfunction. However, there is a caution that people with certain ailments are at greater risk for developing a serious eye problem. You can read all about Cialis here, but below is an excerpt.

"You have a slightly greater chance of developing this serious eye problem if you have heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, certain eye problems ("crowded disk"), high blood pressure, are over 50 years of age, or if you smoke."

Online sites are great resources for information to be able to ask all the right questions when it's time to see your doctor, but they can not take the place of your doctor's sound medical advice. Only you and your doctor know what is the best way to manage your healthcare.

I hope this information helps somewhat. Take care and stay in touch!
