Can herbal remedies for ED help?

A reader wants to know if herbal remedies for erectile dysfunction really work. According to Dr. Todd Nippoldt from the Mayo Clinic, some studies suggest that supplements such as DHEA, ginseng and propionyl-L-carnitine may benefit some men. But Nippoldt points out that the safety and effectiveness of these treatments haven't been evaluated over the long-term, and that no dosing standards are currently understood. He also suggests that other herbal treatments, such as the sexual stimulant yohimbe, can be dangerous if used in large amounts.  Read full story >
