Study adds evidence to link between hypertension, impotence

Arizona researchers say they have confirmed the link between high blood pressure and erectile dysfunction (ED). In an animal study, scientists found that rats who suffered from hypertension were more likely to suffer from ED, but when treated for the blood pressure problem, their ED symptoms improved. Experts say this study just reinforces the connection between vascular problems and impotence. And they point out that while medications such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra can improve ED, the underlying cause of the problem should be investigated by a patient's doctor.  Read full story >
