Egg discovery could lead to Viagra alternative

The gas that is responsible for the smell of rotten eggs could lead to an alternative for Viagra, a new study suggests. Researchers say that the release of hydrogen sulphide appears to relax nerves in the penis, which allows better blood flow and a more successful erection. The study's authors say a similar discovery on the role played by nitric oxide led to the development of Viagra.  Read full story >
