Weight loss surgery may improve ED symptoms

Weight loss surgery can reduce impotence in overweight men, often by restoring the hormone balance that comes with a healthy weight, a new study suggests. The weight loss can also reduce other risk factors for erectile dysfunction, including diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol. But experts say there are psychological factors at play in the improved sexual function, and they warn that men and women who undergo gastric surgery can experience new--and not always comfortable--feelings about their body and sexuality.  Read full story >
