Lumps or Pain Within the Scrotum

New lumps can be alarming, especially because many men are concerned about the possibility of cancer. While most lumps will require a doctor's evaluation, keep in mind that the vast majority of lumps are benign (noncancerous).

In order to get a better idea of what might be causing the lump, it's helpful to know if the area is painful.

Does the lump cause pain or discomfort?
