The birds and the bee's are all part of April but so is National STD Awareness Month, a time to get tested and get your partners and friends to get tested.

STDs like Herpes, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV and Aids often have no to little symptoms and may go unnoticed. See STD Symptoms making it easy to pass the STDs around. 

The organization Your STD Help is working with clinics across the country to get everyone tested. "If we can get all of the high risk people tested then it would really curb the transmission rate in the US." said a spokes women from Your STD Help.

Infections such as gonorrhea and chlamydia are major causes of infertility among women and many STDs can increase the risk of HIV transmission for both men and women. HPV has been shown to cause cervical cancer and syphilis infections are on the increase in many states.
