I know the actual virus can be passed on since its contagious, but is there bacteria that could be passed on?

My boyfriend knows about me having type 2 H. I took medication to control my 1st outbreak last month. I have only given him oral and he has used a toy on me but he washed his hands RIGHT after. during that time i had no signs of an outbreak and we have never had sex after i found out.

Anywho... 2 days ago he has had symtoms of what seems to be kidney stones, which i read from webmd. No sores or blisters just a walnut sized lump above his groin below his waste. He said its hurt to the touch. And it painful to urinate.although there are no sores present. He went to the emergency room today and he told me the doctor said he has herpes bacteria on his penis. I've heard of passing the virus but not bacteria...and ive never heard of those type of symptoms being herpes. I am very confused and very worried. He cant go back and forth to the doctor because he has no health insurance. so if anyone could help me or give me some information on this would be very greatful.

i'm sorry to hear your going through this. i have lived with hsv1 and 2 since about 1978. i was infected by a guy who was a lover, but unfortunately, he was a lover to many unknowingly to us all.

but, i also had hsv1 i think since i was in the 6th grade. i used to get a break out on my cheek about once a year and it stayed for about 2 weeks. of course back in the 60's, we didn't know what it was and i'm assuming that was it. i now get breakouts on my face on my nose, side of nose, cheek. once on my mouth! it's quite painful and affects many things as it's progressing and coming on.

so, that didn't answer your questions but try to be calm. stress is a killer for herpes. see your doc, or go to your local city hospital for free service. do you have a free clinic in your city? we do and when i had no insurance i could go there for medical treatment and meds.

i know that even just the slightest stress seems to bring on an episode, so find alternatives to de-stress your life. also, i know it's going to sound weird but i have found that if i'm out on a windy day walking around or doing things outside, within 2 days i have a breakout. a doc told me that a long time ago that wind was factor so i try to avoid days like that. it sounds totally of the charts, but it is true. also, when i'm going to be having an outbreak, about 2-3 days prior i get the worst pain in my right eye. it hurts like hell and i always know that it's coming on. then when it appears, the pain in the eye goes away. weird huh!

when i feel it coming on, th elittle tingling in my face skin, the pain etc. i start applying the oil h-balm from forces of nature and sometimes the outbreak goes away before it even get's started. it's amazing. i hate to pitch for products but this one really does work.

i don't know why more people don't know about it.

Hi,

I learned something from the other lady's post about an oil ty. I will give it to you straight there is 3,000 strains of herpes under the herpes2. Herpes 1 is not a biggy you will hardly even get an outbreak. 2 is the killer and if him or you is having an outbreak take Valtrex to control it and cut down on number of outbreaks until you kick it in the butt back into a remission if your lucky right. Any doctor will tell you. Once no more out breaks then you no longer need the pills great and lysine at the health food store really messes with herpes. Get a mirror and look on guys easy for them to see but on us you really have to look any outbreak take the pills trust me.
