i am a 28 yr old guy who was diasnosed a little over a year ago and have gone through the ups and downs of knowing what my condition is.. i have learned to live with it and turn the negative thoughts into some positive ones... i hope i can help anyone who has questions or concerns...
i got the virus from an ex-gf after being together for over 5 yrs... in the middle of our relationship it was learned and i freaked out. i didnt know how to react or think or tell people... it was heart breaking, NOW i changed all that around, this is what i do, i truly hope it helps anyone and yet everyone...
1st - 1 in every 6 people have it
2nd - you can LIVE with it and your NOT dying
3rd - i decided to take a pill every day which keep's it a tamed place
(very few break outs a year)
4th - trust poeple before you tell them
5th - when dating: they have to like you for who you are and if they cant
accept then you dont want to be with them anyways...
6th - theirs someone out their for EVERYONE...
live, life, live...
AJ

Thank you AJ. I try to tell myself the same things over and over again when I feel down -- hopefully sometime soon that will be my only way of thinking too and I'll break the cycle of feeling down. Usually im fine, until I hear my friends talking about it (why they randomly joke about it beyond me...but it somehow seeps into discussions often) then I'm back at square 1 all over again. It is comforting to know that you've made it to a positive place in life. Overall Im a very positive person, and am hoping to reach that level of peace with life again. A paradigm shift awaits i guess...
Thanks for helping infuse the hope back :)
