Got diagnosed 3 days ago...it's all over my profile like a stuck record but only cos I find it so hard to believe still. I have herpes?? An STD? Me? ...no way. It wouldn't happen to me. I've only had sex with clean people who had nothing odd about their equipment. And besides, there's people out ther...

I don't believe for a second half that stuff, you wouldn't have cuts then blisters, get your facts straight before telling stories to scare people.

    aight, hot stuff.

first of all, everyone's symptoms are different. mine included cuts before the blisters came. on the second half of this post, someone commented they went through the *exact* same thing i went through, so you better watch who you're telling what to.

second, i'm not trying to scare anyone. i'm trying to tell people blow for blow exactly what happened to me, so that they can take comfort in knowing someone went through what they did.

third of all....who the hell do you think you are to tell me i didn't go through what i went through this week?!  it's just a story? do you need me to post a picture of my scarred puss for you to believe me?

fourth: this clearly is your opinion and that's aight, but im just not in place where i can take kindly to people who presume on no certain grounds that they can write off this kind of ordeal(which is what it was to me) as 'tall talez'.

My symptoms vascillate between blisters and fissures - small cuts in the skin.  She's not making this up, that's very arrogant of you to assume that.  Maybe you should do some more research on herpes.

Believe it. All of her symptoms are consistent with genital herpes outbreaks and you should be afraid. Afraid enough to be responsible for yourself and others. Brain swelling, affected eyes, bleeding sores that stick to your underwear, are just part of the battle for some women. Please educate yourself.

WOW....you hit the nail on the head. I was recently diagnosed with herpes (as in this morning around 9:45). I really had bad feelingd like: this was all my fault, and how am I going to live a normal life! but after reading this post i feel a little better. I am still trying to cope but for the time being your story helped me. Although mines is not in my vagina but instead my rectal area, I have had the same feelings as you and I sympathize with EVERYTHING you have said....THANKS FOR GIVING ME THE STRENGTH TO GO ON!!!!

sorry for the lateness, but you're welcome! im always glad when i learn my posts help people. You should be all better by now, i hope it wasn't too bad.

My second outbreak which i hope to post about soon was in the rectal area. I can tell u i went through quite some confusion at first. But it was less discomforting than having an outbreak in the genital area for me.

I hope you're doing well and taking it into stride, and that you're learning to live just fine with it.
