Just get a western blot test. It tends to be reliable. Then depending upon your symthoms you can talk to your doctor about options for treatment. for example, I am on valtrex suppressive. I was just diagnosed with HSV 1. I discussed the tingling on my lips, now, and the itching sensation that I am feeling. I had a simple blood test, and the doctor says I will need to have an break out with blisters before a sample-culture can actually determine the virsus. He says many people have HSV 1. I am determined to have a complete diagnosis. What is the western blot test? Can you recommend a good doctor? I will check out Scipio's book. Thank you.
