I want to know why both of my ex-girlfriends doesn't have gential herpes and both have baby boys?

By Obino2477 Saturday, January 12, 2008

During the process of the relationship with both of my ex-girlfriends I had sex with them when I had no outbreak does it mean they don't have it. It has been 4yrs and one of my ex-girlfriend admits she doesn't have any symptoms. The baby is alright he turns 3 in march and the other boy is going to be born at the end of february. The Doctor said the baby and mom are fine.

Hi and thanks for your question. I am not a trained health professional so I cannot answer your question directly. However, I can direct you to some information on our site that might be helpful.

Transmitting Herpes: How To Protect The Ones You Love is a blog written by Dr. Charlotte Grayson on how NOT to transmit the disease to to others.

Additionally, Dr. Grayson wrote a blog titled Do I Have to Tell My Partner if I Have No Symptoms? about the dangers of unprotected sex, even if you don't have symptoms.

If your girlfriends have been tested and were not herpes positive, that is a good thing. In the future, whether you have an outbreak or not, make sure you use a condom at all times.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can answer for you.

Thanks

MK
