Ugh I could use some help

my friend who i've done things with (oral) about 16 days has recently gone to the doctor and been told she probably has herpes. the test results haven't come back yet, but if she has it - she would have had to have gotten it from someone but shes only given hand once and didn't finish, and i've only ever fingered a girl who didn't have it. so if she has it - how would one of us have gotten it? i dont have symptoms and i dont exactly want to go to the doctor for fear of friends and family finding out.. what should i do or expect?
