I have both type 1 and type 2. I have never had a cold sore or fever blister on my mouth/face but i have had blisters below the belt...does that mean I have had a type 2 outbreak? or could it have been type 1 genital outbreak or maybe both? If i don't have an outbreak on my mouth or face does it mean I can still transmit the virus threw my mouth during the shedding process? or does that shedding process only happen in the area of where the outbreaks are? Since i have both type 1 and 2 and my parent performs oral sex he is at risk of getting type 1 more likely then 2 but he could get both...

I can't find much info on having both types...i need more!
