I would like to share my story with you. I got herpes even before I started having intercourse. When I was 18 I was fooling around and received oral for the first time and had herpes 2 weeks later. That was my first real experience with extreem depression. It was terrible folks. I thought that I would never ever be loved and that I would be alone forever.

I eventually got over that feeling a year after, when I finally met a guy whom I thought I was in love with. This time I deceided not to take any chances and so we both got tested for herpes 1 & 2, chlamydia, HIV 1 & 2, syphilis and gonorrhea. When I finally deceided to have sex for the first time I made sure to use protection. Well three months later I had HPV. My first thought was why me??? this is soooooooooo unfair!!!! Why could I not have got chlamydia or something cureable!!!!! Two STD'S at only 20 years old!!!! For the first time in my life I was absolutely suicidal. I never ever thought that would be me! I always thought that you had to be a 'slut' to get an STD. That was hell.

I was desperate. After leaving my ex (a very long and dangerous story), I started seeking help. One day I heard a radio program in my country where a sexologist was claming to have a cure for the virus. I went to him for help. I was given some antiviral capsules and a topical liquid of a certain brand (I am not sure if I can state the name here so i wont). I was told that it would work by bringing the virus to the surface then the topical medication will kill it. I was sent to take a test before starting treatment and then I started. It was hell. I had sores over my entire genital area and applying that medication 3 times a day was even worse than hell. I hope I never experience hell like that in my life ever again. For the second time in my life I was suicidal, even worse than the first. Just the thought of ending it all made me excited! Sick but true! I eventually called the suicide hotline and they helped me a lot! It would hurt so bad that I would literally want to bang my head on the wall. Well after 3 weeks of that it ended and I took another test. My level in the test was reduced by half. I have not had a break out since.

After that I was invited by the boss there to work for him by running the exclusive and members only swinger's club and strip club. I agreed. Now to become a member of this club you had to get tested. The swinger's club was only taking on new married couples who had no experience in this and wanted to spice up their marrage. What I discovered was astounding!

Out of the hundreds of persons I had tested for Herpes type 1 & 2, only 4 persons did not have herpes type 1, and every single person tested for herpes type 1 was positive. What was even worse was the fact that none of the persons testing positive for type 2 was aware as they had no syptoms!!! When I tried to explain this to them most of them did not even know what to think what it meant or were confused as to what to do.  I simply told them that it is very common and it is nothing to worry about. WOW!!!! I was shocked. These were married people with children, businesses, executive positions, doctors, university students, flight attendants, pilots, young, old,  politicians, famous singers and entertainers...all the upper curst of society (well the strippers in the club all had it too...and some of them, even worse, but I am not counting them)! They all had Herpes! It was only then that I realised that this thing is way more common than you might think.
