Hi,

unfortunately, it is possible to give your boyfriend the virus that way. The virus is passed through the muscus membrane during sexual contact, given the likely short amount of time between touching yourself and your boyfriend tasting it, the virus probably wouldn't have a chance to "die" in between. I don't know if that makes a lot of sense, but there is validity to it. Something I'd suggest (since I'm not a doctor) is to talk to your doctor about transmission and ways to protect your boyfriend (and yourself!). Or read about it on this and other medical sites. Many sites to go through potential scenarios that could transmit the disease and ways to stay safe. Hope that helps; take care :)

Hi, If you have Herpes Simplex Virus 2 or Herpes Simplex Virus 1, it is possible that he could have gotten oral herpes from oral sex. Remember, sometimes women could be having an outbrake inside and not really see a sore. Other times, you could be having asympthomatic viral shedding, which occurs before or after you get an actual sore, that I know of.  If you live with him and he loves oral sex, I would suggest that you use a Dental dam to protect him from getting herpes.  Also, you would be protecting yourself from anything else, since having an outbrake makes you more vulnerable to catching any other STDs including the other herpes strand , the one you do not have and even HIV.  Don't forget that having the 2 herpes strands in the genital area makes your herpes case worse.  So, I would use condoms too and an Antiviral gel (Christopher Scipio has a book called Making peace with Herpes where he recommends an Antiviral gel).  In addition,  I would suggest that if you live with him, you get on suppressive therapy, such as Valtrex 1 gram a day or Acyclovir 400 milligrams twice a day to minimize the risk of transmitting herpes to him.  I would say you guys should use protection and if he has insurance he should go get a Western Blot test. I mean, if  you guys are going to have oral sex you should both protect yourselves.  Be safe and take care of yourself.  Also, you should research the types of foods that you should avoid to minimize your outbrakes such as coffee, caffenated tea, chocolates, sugar and processed foods, all types of nuts, sodas, alcohol, beers, peanuts, carob, raisins and jello. Reduce bread, pasta and baked goods. Instead you should drink water, eat tons of fish, drink beet juice with something else mixed in,drink dark grape juice and dandelion juice, eat tons of unsweetened plain yogurt and  eat soft foods, like some veggies and  papaya. Eat organic chicken, organic eggs, potatoes, organic meat, fresh Beans, preferrably not dry.  Get foods with a higher lysine ratio vs. Arginine.  Well... I hope these are usuful and helpful tips for you.  Also, urinate right after sex to prevent bladder infections. Drink tons of water. Take your vitamin supplements such as vitamin super B for stress; and C; as well as garlic; zinc and selenium; don't forget to take a multivitamin everyday. I also drink KM by Matol to regulate my PH balance for an Alkaline level.  Keep Stress to a minimum and practice Yoga at least 20 minutes a day. God Bless...
